What devices does Flash7X support?
Flash7X requires an iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later. The app is optimized for devices with the Apple A14 chip and newer. Older devices may experience reduced performance during real-time processing.
Does Flash7X upload my photos to the cloud?
No. All image processing happens entirely on your device using native Metal shaders. Your photos are never uploaded to any external server. They are saved directly to your Photo Library.
Why do I need a subscription?
Flash7X uses a proprietary color science pipeline that requires ongoing development, testing, and optimization. A subscription supports continuous improvements to the processing engine and ensures the app stays updated with new iPhone hardware.
What subscription plans are available?
We offer two plans: Weekly Access at $3.00/week and Annual Pass at $15.00/year (best value). Both unlock the full app with unlimited captures. See our Pricing page for details.
Can I try Flash7X before subscribing?
Flash7X does not currently offer a free trial. However, if you subscribe through the App Store and are not satisfied, you can request a refund from Apple within a reasonable period.
How is Flash7X different from built-in camera filters?
Unlike simple color filters or presets, Flash7X applies a multi-stage GPU processing pipeline that adjusts tone curves, grain structure, color response, and depth-aware rendering in real time. The result is not a filter — it's a complete tonal reinterpretation of the scene, similar to how a dedicated camera processes RAW data internally.
Troubleshooting
The app crashes on launch
Make sure you are running the latest version of Flash7X from the App Store and that your iPhone is updated to at least iOS 17.0. If the issue persists, try deleting and reinstalling the app. Your subscription will be restored automatically.
Photos look dark or overexposed
Flash7X reads the scene light and applies its tone curve accordingly. In extreme lighting conditions (very bright backlit scenes or near-total darkness), the processing may behave differently than expected. Try tapping to set focus/exposure on your subject. If the issue persists across normal lighting, please contact us with a sample photo.
Camera permission was denied
Flash7X requires camera access to function. If you accidentally denied permission, go to Settings → Flash7X → Camera and toggle it on. The app will work immediately after granting access.
Photos are not saving to my library
Ensure that Flash7X has Photo Library write access enabled. Go to Settings → Flash7X → Photosand select "Add Photos Only" or "Full Access". Flash7X never reads your existing library — it only saves new captures.
My subscription is not being recognized
If the app shows you as unsubscribed after a purchase, try the following: close and reopen the app, ensure you are signed into the correct Apple ID, and check your subscription status in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. If the problem continues, email us with your Apple ID and approximate purchase date.
Managing Your Subscription
How to cancel (App Store)
Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → Flash7X → Cancel Subscription. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
How to cancel (Web / Paddle)
Use the Paddle Customer Portal link included in your purchase confirmation email to manage or cancel your web subscription.
